Part Three
Is Your Website As Useless As Mine Was?
Do You Want a Website?
The Site Build It program provides the most complete training and tools I have ever come across for building a website so I can't review it in one posting. Part three, and the last in this series, continues this review and reveals my continued experiences using the Site Build It program to develop my site.
Find out what “Content 2.0” is, how it automatically adds pages to my site, automatic insertions into search engines and how to monetize my site and if I stuck to the program step by step. (To see the beginning of this article go to the previous two posts-Part One and Part Two.)
Content 2.0
A feature called "Content 2.0" astounded me with it's creativity! The idea stems from people liking to contribute to a site and SBI provides the form templates and easy instructions to create submission forms. The idea allows a contributor to create their own page automatically. Wow! These pages expand the site without any effort on my part and make it better too!
Automatic Insertions
Every time I create or update a page, SBI automatically sends it to tons of search engines. I can also choose to add the page to my site blog feed tool or type up a quick message in the "bloglet" tool which SBI also provides.
Monetization
Your website must reach thirty pages before beginning this step. Right now this is where my attention's focus rests. I am learning about adsense, types of products, and many ways to do this.
Free Affiliate Programs
SBI warned not to join affiliate programs requiring monthly autoship or fees. Not only am I learning what to do, they tell me what not to do.
The free affiliate information covered AdSense, ebay, LinkShare, Amazon, and more. Signing up for AdSense I found out I can determine which competitors I don't want on my site.
LinkShare provides links to many business who have affiliate programs which provide promo to use! Wow. I chose a few to compliment my niche.
Then I became an Amazon affiliate and created my store adding more products connected to my site. Plus if I buy through my site I save money on my purchases!
Linking With Other Sites
SBI researches site fitting my niche, then provides a letter asking for a mutual link sharing. Every day I find new possibilities.
Social Networking
Becoming known on the internet takes time and work. I set myself up on Better Networker, Perfect Networker, Facebook, MySpace, gibLink and several other business and alternative health social sites. I created groups and pages to promo about and try to keep active on forums and other communication areas.
E-zines
SBI provides an e-zine creator plus a follow-up mailing system. I haven't done this yet but it is on my to-do-list. SBI makes it easy to create it with several more tools.
Traffic Statistics
Every day I check my statistics to see how my promo works. I can even find which pages are drawing the most visitors and which pages I need to fine tune.
Affiliate Program
Because I love SBI so much I joined their affiliate program which is just as comprehensive as the SBI program. I can even create letters or emails by clicking in front of a sentence and it is added to my writing automatically. Lots of videos and banners to choose from and help in every form is available. I like their compensation plan too. Very simple. Someone buys a service and I get paid a generous commission.
Have I been the “tortoise?”
I haven't used all the features of SBI yet but I will. I have missed a step here and there and had to backtrack but overall I am following the SBI steps. After all, their professional advice put many SBI sites in the top Google ranking.
My emotions ranged from frustrated and overwhelmed to confidence in my abilities to create a site and the ultimate thrill to see my polished site and feeling good about inviting people to get their solutions.
The Site Build It program provides the most complete training and tools I have ever come across. I now have 38 pages on my site, adding information as I go with some pages still under construction. My goal now is to monetize and promote it. Visitor numbers increase each week so I'm on my way to reaching my goals!

Part Two
Is Your Website As Useless As Mine Was?
Do You Want a Website?
Having had several useless websites with little traffic or traffic but no buyers, I finally realized my lack of knowledge in this area cost me tons of time and money. A friend on Enerjize Life turned me on to this incredible site to not just build a website but to find out how build a web business.
Most reviews simply go over provided information and regurgitate the information. Some actually use the product. Part two of three of this review reveals my personal experience using the Site Build It program. (To see the beginning of this article go to the previous post-Part One.)
Choosing a Niche
A couple of the steps I did twice to make sure I understood the concept, especially choosing my part of the internet. SBI's tools make everything easy to do but once I had the information I had to make up my mind creatively. Thank goodness for the examples of what others did! Sheer torture played on me while deciding which way to go...but I finally came to what I thought was "the one."
Choosing a Site Name
I thought I'd lose my mind right off the bat trying to choose a name for my new website. I had wonderful search tools to work with, research tools, great key words, but which ones invite people to check out my site? This “day” took me two weeks.
The tutorial videos laid everything out step-by-step with even more details in mini-videos and written materials on-line. Sometimes I wandered through the materials and forgot where I started, but I learned new information all the time.
Unfortunately as soon as I clicked "submit" for my site name I knew it was a mistake! Good grief. I "parked" that name with another SBI tool and submitted a new one. This mistake cost me about $40.
Site Organization
The next hurdle for me involved organization of the site. SBI gives a template of a three-tier system for easy site organization. However, the decisions of what to put where came from me. I wound up making three copies of the tier system while making up my mind and confess the last one doesn't even look like my site. I'll have to update it so as my site grows I know where every page is located.
Forums
Forums on all subjects made it possible to talk with other website builders and glean important tips from them as well as share what I learned. Involving myself with creative people made me much more creative. I could take an idea, run with it and embellish to make it mine. Creating this site started getting easier.
Site Creation
Lots of templates here including one for creating my own. Stealing parts of other websites and taking them to my graphics program for alteration, then uploading them worked for me. Really easy to do. I starting getting the hang of how this whole program came together!
Page Creation
SBI's tools guided me every step of the way even if I didn't always follow it exactly. I figured out how to do it their simple step-by-step guidance requiring no html although they also provide an HTML guide if you want to make minor alterations.
Those with html experience or web creation software can upload their pages easily.
I, as usual, couldn't get myself to follow the rules so I did a combination of the two methods. Now that I figured it out my method, a page goes up easily...OK....most of the time!
Graphics
Part of the graphics area includes a graphic editor, "Picknit It!" in case my graphic is too big or my picture needs work. Not only is it easy to use, when I'm finished it saves it directly to my graphics collection on SBI.
Links
One day I received an email from SBI announcing I had broken links requiring my immediate attention! Shocked! I didn't know they provided this service too. This was so much easier than going through the whole site myself to check all the links. Trying to get my daughter and my husband to go through the site proved fruitless so it was up to me. The email informed me that if I didn't get a fix-your-links email that all mine were fine! Now I feel confident my links work.
The SBI program provides the most complete training and tools I have ever come across so I can't review it in one posting. Part three of this three part review reveals more of my experiences using the Site Build It program to develop my site.
Part three addresses “Content 2.0”, how it automatically adds pages to my site, automatic insertions and how to monetize my site and if I stuck to the program step by step.

Part One
Is Your Website As Useless As Mine Was?
Do You Want a Website?
Having had several useless websites with little traffic or traffic but no buyers, I finally realized my lack of knowledge in this area cost me tons of time and money. A friend on Energize Life turned me on to this incredible site to not just build a website but to find out how build a web business.
Most reviews simply go over provided information and regurgitate the information. Some actually use the product. Part one of three of this review reveals my personal experience using the Site Build It program.
What is Site Build It?
SBI teaches people how to build a prosperous website or blog and provides a video and article training program, with every tool needed to do the job and features addressing the way the current internet works.
Each tutorial presents how to make use of a formula called C (Content), T (Traffic), P (Pr-Selling) and M (Monetization) or C.T.P.M stressing to NOT make the first page your visitors see a selling page.
Provide great “niche” content giving visitors more than promised
Create huge “niche” traffic to your site
Pre-sell your visitors on your services and products so they want to purchase
Monetize and take great care of your customers
Additionally, SBI provides a domain name, website space and email included in the price.
Forums provide users with creative ideas and solutions to any problem although a support center is available. I used support four or five times and each time they responded promptly and even more important they had a solution that worked.
For experienced website developers features allow them to upload their pages and still take advantage of the search, statistics, Content 2.0, blog, forums, how-to documents, advice from experts and an incredible number of tools to create traffic and monetization.
SBI's statistics showed SBI website owners end up in the top few percent on the search engines and make money...exactly my goal!
53% were in the top 2%.
62% scored in the top 3%.
From my research SBI appears to be the only program of it's kind and the cost is a low $29.95 per month for all these services.
For those who don't want to do it themselves, a profession group of website builders do it for them. Or you can hire them to do the part of the website giving you trouble.
My Decision
I decided to take the plunge and joined.
The introduction explained the ten day program with a note that each person will take the amount of time they need and more than likely the time will stretch out. Average time to get through the whole course seems to be about three months but when done you'll be an expert with a money making site!
Be a Tortoise
On the first day when Site Build It I told me all I had to do is follow their ten day process (actually takes longer than ten days but who's counting) they insisted I slow down (the tortoise principal) and do a thorough job even if it took a longer time to get the site "right."
I usually jump in with both feet...then am shocked to find out I am in over my head...and...then experience getting no results no matter how hard I work. This time I resolved to do it right even if it takes longer. This slowing down created a feeling of my “putting on the brakes” which I found frustrating. I wanted my website up and running now!
The SBI program provides the most complete training and tools I have ever come across so I can't review it in one posting. Part two of three parts continues this review and reveals my experiences using the Site Build It program to develop my site.
Find out if I stuck to being a “Tortoise”, or am I getting any traffic, am I sticking to the formula C.T.P.M.?

First, do research on the company and even the people introducing the opportunity, are they legitimate? Feel free to contact them and ask them how long they have been an affiliate, how they promote their business, what kind of results they experience, what kind of help from the company, etc. For some companies you may have to fill out a form and get on their email registry to receive information Legitimate companies have an unsubscribe link in their e-mails. Some ask you in the first e-mail to click on a link that says it is ok for them to send e-mails to you.
Second, how do they promote their company. Will everything be done for you (never happens), or do you depend on training from your up-line only? How many people has your up-line signed up (high number is a a good indicator your up-line knows what they are doing) ? If a company says membership is free, everything is automated, and you just sit back doing nothing and collecting money, it's a warning sign They are not legitimate. Any program promising something that seems to good to be true, again, run. Joining is setting yourself up for failure. You're better off knowing it's going to take work to be successful. At least then you know results will be based on your following their training and the quality of the company's product.
Third, make sure you find out exactly what the compensation plan is and if it is complicated, run again. Complicated compensation plans offer too many ways to get screwed on your compensation and if you don't understand it fully how will you explain it to someone you're trying to sign up? Or do they only talk about the compensation plan, about all the money you'll make by introducing it to friends and family, none of which sells the product? The products are where the long term residual income resides. Strong residual income becomes the foundation of strong rooted companies who will be around a while.
Fourth, investigate the products they endorse. Do you like them? Have you tried any? Do you like them before joining? You can only sell products you believe in. Do the products serve a niche or are they something no one really wants? Will the products be easily replaced by the next new thing to come along? How crowded is the market? Is there anything unique about the products? Are they so expensive no one will buy them? Answers to these questions determine the worth of the products on the market and reflect saleability. Why set yourself up for failure with worthless products?
Fifth, see if your views are in line with theirs. Do they care about money or do they have a passion for helping others? If the company focuses only on money, they will fail and so will you. Helping people get what they want, opens the door for you to get what you want.
Sixth, check out their policies. Three or four pages should be enough to explain them. If the policy manual contains many pages with a multitude of rules and only specific ways to market, not only will all affiliates be advertising in the same way, these heavy constrictions don't allow you to differentiate yourself in the marketplace. How do potential affiliates choose you instead of someone else? Make sure the company allows you to be an affiliate with other companies. To become truly successful having multiple streams of income is vital.
And last, does the company provide solutions such as ready made display ads, classified ad examples, sample tweets, social network use, marketing and product training? Are their seminars, workshops or webinars only filled with rah, rah emotion pumping rhetoric or do they provide concrete information to help build your home business?
Many good multilevel marketing opportunities out there. Choosing the right company is only half the game. The other half is you, the person ultimately responsible for the results by how hard and how smart you work. Doing your research and thinking from your gut not about the wild promises of riches, increases your chance of success!

Just because you may work in your pajamas, doesn't relieve you of the key principles to success. Doing internet marketing without a plan doesn't work. Instead of the results you are looking for, nothing happens, you get discouraged and eventually quit. The following principles increase your chances for success astronomically.
1. "Decide how you want to live your life."
Train yourself to think without limits. It doesn't matter what other people want you to do. Think about what you want. Don't leave anything out. Once you do, you will be able to see if your current business will help you accomplish this, or if you need to find one that will!
2. "Decide WHY you want to be in business for yourself."
Did you start your business to support a lifestyle of your choosing and design, or did you chose a job to have a paycheck to cover your bills and take a "vacation" once a year? Everyone can own a business, but being a highly successful entrepreneur is reserved for those who truly have the mindset that they are free to do what they want, whenever they want.
3. "Don't try to recruit everyone as an affiliate or a customer."
Target a specific group and make this your market. Find out their needs are. What are their challenges? What can you do to serve them as individuals, and as a group?
In the beginning your target group may not realize the opportunity you are offering them, but no matter what they say or feel, keep on sharing what you are doing, send them important link they can go to and most importantly, ignore any negative comments. They will become fans of YOU - which is really what being an entrepreneur is all about. And as a result, many of these fans, if not most, will eventually become customers of your business, and refer many others to it as well!
4. "Find New Friends.
Associate with people who are highly successful entrepreneurs who think how you want to think, live how you want to live, and generate the type of money you would like to generate. Eventually you will not be just a regular business owner struggling along, you will be well on your way to becoming a highly successful entrepreneur yourself!
When you start associating with these entrepreneurs, some people who you thought of as friends will start to move away from you. They no longer think or live like you. This is how it should be because that type of person can keep you from your success. Don't hang on to them when they no longer serve to support you and your goals.
5. "Establish Yourself As An Authority."
Establishing a public presence is the first step in positioning yourself as an authority. Start a personal blog site and join online social networks like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Let people know you're here and here to stay!
The first place people search for an entrepreneur that can help them is the Internet. NOT the phone book, NOT the newspaper, and NOT their mailbox. Don't just market your company - Market YOU. Attend local networking groups and speak at their meetings. Learn all you can about the ideas and solutions that will help the people you are seeking to gain as customers and share them.
Write articles to let your target market see that you are real, that you are here to help them. Establish yourself as an authority in your industry.
Your target market seeks and needs industry authorities, not casual business owners.
Deliver valuable information and keep all of your interactions, online and offline, personally and professionally positive.

The network marketing industry has provided more millionaires in the last ten years than in any other industry. So how does leadership play a role?
First a definition: Leadership is the ability to influence and inspire others to follow you.
Below are ten rules of leadership in network marketing. Work on incorporating them into your daily routine. A true leader takes consistent action, so it is important that you be consistent in your application of these rules. Write down the 10 Rules of Leadership! (Seriously – Get out a piece of paper and pen and write them down, or at least cut and paste them to a document.)
1. The Leader should have a goal larger than those that he/she leads. Your downline needs to know that you are planning for the future and also understand that your financial goals coincide with theirs.
2. The Leader must have an attitude greater then those that he/she leads. A leader is optimistic and focuses on the solutions and not the problems.
3. The Leader is responsible and admits when he/she has made a mistake. As a leader you are responsible for the things that go wrong in your team.
4. The Leader should make decisive decisions. All decisions are not correct, but if they are made with the right reasons in mind, then the right decisions will come more often. Strive to do the right thing and do not worry about doing things right.
5. The Leader always puts those that he/she leads first. When your downline sees that you are looking out for their best interests, they will work harder since they will realize that your goal is their success. People honestly don’t care what you know until they know how much you care! Zig Ziglar says – “If you help enough other people get what they want, you’ll always get what you want.”
6. The Leader is in the front of the pack by setting an example to those that he/she leads. A good leader does not just tell others what to do but shows his team how to do it. Take the lead by setting the right example for your downline.
7. The Leader show’s a commitment to integrity and character. Your downline will have confidence in you as a leader when they see you doing “the right thing”.
8. The Leader strives for excellence in everything. Your attitude, appearance, work ethics, and dedication to excellence can help determine your success.
9. The Leader is determined to improving personal growth and development. The only way that you can be a leader that people will follow is to grow personally by learning the skills that are necessary to becoming a master network marketer.
10. The Leader display’s a high level of persistence and determination. Genuine success takes time to achieve. How much time? As long as it takes! These ten rules are important to any successful network marketing business. Develop your skill with people by following these rules and you will become a great leader. Ignore them, and some day you may wonder what happened.
1. Communication skills are critical for allowing you to get your ideas and thoughts across to your downline. If your downline has no idea what to do or how to do it, then how will they succeed or help you build your business?
2. Providing the proper motivation is another key area of successful leadership. Your downline will stagnate when not properly motivated. To increase motivation try challenging your downline with goals that may be out of the ordinary for them.
3. Teamwork. This means not only teaching your downline to work together but also for you to become part of the team. To become a better leader find out what your downline can do and recognize that they may have skills that could benefit your team.
4. Training and education. Take the time to learn everything you can about your network marketing business. Contact your upline for help and advice. Someone once said, “Leadership has not been tried and found difficult, but instead has been found difficult and left largely untried”.

How Do You Make a Good First Impression?
Focus on developing the communications skills will enable you to get prospects interested in your opportunity because what you say and how you say it matters. And when you have confidence in your communication skills, you'll be more effective with all your prospects, whether from a warm or cold market.
Good communications skills are what you want to duplicate through your down-line. While everyone has their own best approach to doing the business, if you teach them a system of communication your down-line and your business will flourish.
The following Communication Qualities most successful networkers had in common:
- They are interested in the prospect. Successful networkers don't look at prospects as "warm bodies" but as people who are trying to solve a problem. They learned that signing up "warm bodies" wastes a lot of their training time because "warm bodies" have no commitment, do real desire to be a part of their business or to help anyone else.
- They have a sincere, friendly facial expression. People often sense something is wrong when sincerity is missing and are distracted from what is being said. Smiles radiate over the phone and so does tone of voice.
- They use the correct amount of assertiveness. Potential affiliates or customers detect no tension, strain, fakeness, sounding rehearsed, stuttering or hesitating on your part. Communication comes more easily if you educate yourself about your company, products and field.
- They communicate easily. Because they educated themselves about their business products and field, they usually don't stutter, mumble, hesitate or sound confused.
- They dress appropriately. Sloppy or dirty dress distracts the prospect and sends the message, "I may be presenting a scam", or "Why would I work with this person, I wouldn't even want him/her as a friend!".
- THEY ALWAYS TELL THE TRUTH! No income exaggeration, no false, "fluffed" data.
- They educate themselves. Prospects feel strength and confidence coming from you.
- They communicate at the prospect's level of understanding. They don't scare them off with lots of complicated details
- They have the intention to make the person's life better. They find out what the prospect needs to have their goals met.
Communication Made Easy
Your organization will grow like wildfire once you have these qualities down pat. Become familiar with them and decide you're going to master them and teach your down-line. If you're serious about making huge money in network marketing, your up-line will have training tools to help you. Being an effective communicator will take you to the top in network marketing faster than any other skill you can invest time developing.
And whether you find your prospects through friends and family, through advertising, through buying leads or any other means, knowing what to say and how to say it is one of the master keys to success.
"Learn to communicate with your prospects,
and don't promise them any thing you can't deliver."
